I'm going to take a leaf out of the Photography Forum book and adopt their method of a dedicated Sticky Thread aimed specifically at those who wish to request/offer Services. This will be done with very heavy emphasis on www.adverts.ie as, by rights, you should all be posting/checking there for Sales & Services rather than posting in the DA&D Forum.

To use this thread, read the rules below - Threads created outside of this one will be moved/deleted accordingly.

** Services Wanted **

First and foremost, post your advertisement on www.adverts.ie - You may then create a single post on this thread. This post should be brief and include a link to adverts.ie – for example;

“Seeking Logo/Banner Designer in March 2010, Check my post on adverts [link] for more details”.

Such posts will be time bound and 'run' for a default period of two weeks. Out of courtesy to the moderation of this forum it would be appreciated if you could inform us when you have been sorted and your post will be then deleted but in any event and without any communication from you the post will be deleted after a period of two weeks. You may request for the two week duration to be extended and a reasonable approach will be taken to reasonable requests.



** Services Offered **

The forum is in a position for regular users to offer their services in a manner which simply indicates that they are available should another user be seeking such services. As with ** Services Wanted **, please keep the post brief, such as;

“Joe/Jane - Available for Design/Editing Service – please PM for more details”

You MAY include a link to an adverts post or your web site but please keep the overall post brief. Do NOT post rates, samples of work, testimonials, etc... All of this can be conducted on a one to one basis through your subsequent interaction with the potential client.

This is a service available for regular forum users. These posts will not be removed like the Services Wanted posts (within two weeks) but are dependent on users remaining active within the forum. This is so that the facility isn't abused by 'one post wonders', users who don't contribute on the forum, and users that simply are no longer active. The moderators accept that this will be hit and miss but will endeavour to maintain a fair hand in the approach. If a user is removed and become active once more their post can be reinstated.

In Conclusion:

Please play fair and accept the rules in the spirit in which they are intended. If there is a sniff of a flame war starting or off topic posting, posts or the entire facility may be removed without further notice and offending users will be subject to normal sanctions.

Was looking for some one that has experience in lay out and design for a sample newspaper that I am bringing out which will become a national bi weekly newspaper when it gets going.16-20 pages would do for the sample and had the articles ready for a short run of 200 to the printers but was let down by someone.

looking to talk to some animators about putting a music video together. concepts would be by you too. looking for cool, viral, controversial if needs be, dark concepts.

Briefly

- solo electronic/pop/rock/alternative project - very catchy song this one, dark enough vibe (will give link to rough mix if you get in touch, its not complete/released so you understand i'm not putting it up here)
- taking it one song/one video at a time, so if it worked out might be work down the line too
- will be supported by decent professional online publicity campaign, so some publicity definitely guaranteed. how much? impossible to say - you may see potential in the music or you may not...i'd like to think its pretty OK
- budget negotiable depending on quality of prior work etc and obviously what is involved shoot wise if we got as far as concepts. its not a blank cheque (if only) but not peanuts either.

just want to get talking to some people and see what happens.

would hope to be wrapping in April.

My name is Dan and I'm a software developer.

I have a number of websites and am working on a new project. The project is a website for a very specific niche. I have experience in this niche and due to an existing website I can generate web traffic to this new project.

I've done a lot of programming for this website and the software development side is pretty much done. The web design is also complete. What I missing is a partner who can take care of the creative side.

I'm looking for someone who is "fluent" in photoshop and has a creative streak. Ideally a college student or recent graduate who is looking to get experience and equal credits in the project. It's not a money making venture but more of an experiment. I can't offer riches but hopefully with the ideal partner we can venture forth on future projects that might bring in a few dollars.

I'm hoping to find someone to design a logo for a summer hill run event that I'm organising as a fundraiser for our underage basketball teams in Tipperary. We don't have much money as a club but I'm not looking for a freebie, I'm happy to pay for the finished files once it's reasonably priced and I'm happy with the result. I also have a fairly clear picture of what I think would work so I can give the designer some guidance but I'm also open to suggestions. I've designed logos for the club myself in the past but I'm self taught so I wouldn't have the required skill to do a really professional looking finished logo.

Anyone interested in giving this mini project a go?? Thanks for the help

We're looking for a logo for Event WiFi (site in sig link). We'd like it to be simple, not complicated; that's the way we like to do our installs and it'd be good for the logo to give the same impression.

Our initial ideas are just a simple combination of a circus (festival) tent and the WiFi emblem. We're open to better ideas - we're good at tech, not so good on creative!





The job for the designer would be to design a suitable logo in the next day or two, and supply some artwork of various qualities/applications (as normal I suppose). The reason for the rush is that a little time has freed up this week and we'd like to get some marketing material ready that was planned for later. If that deadline doesn't suit you, no problems, maybe send on a PM with a deadline that works for you.

If interested in the work, please send a sample logo (it can be a tiny file - unusable) and your quote/delivery date for the work above by PM. All other comments and questions welcome.
