    Anyone experience / heard any reports of fuel consumption levels on 1.6 petrol totota corolla verso (2007 - 2009)

    I am thinking of buying one, but just heard a horror story re fuel consumption?

    curious to know if this is a one-off, or more common complaint?

    It's a heavy enough car for a 1.6 petrol. A bigger engine would be lessed stressed. Think there was a 1.8 and 2.0 litre diesel too

    Probably wouldn't be that bad as it's one of the smallest vehicles in its class, if not the smallest.

    Otoh I had a 1.6 Zafira for a week and it managed 30-32mpg, which is not great.
