Modern Warfare 2 Trophies not unlocking

Anyone else is having the same problem? I completed training and first 4 missions on Veterean difficulty and didn't get any trophies...

I noticed this was happening last night when i loaded it up first. I did a bit of googling last night and apparently there was a game patch for 15 mb or somthing which is messin with the trophy list.

According to the net, if you delete the install data file (you might have to delete your game save too.. not sure about this), make sure your not signed in to the net, load and install the game , and then sign in to to get the patch, so basically the trophy list should have appeared before you get the patch installed.

Dunno if this works or not because i didnt have the heart to do it at 3.30 this morning, but it seems to be a fairly common solution thats coming through...

You dont need to delete your savegame. This happened me aswell so I deleted the patch and restarted singleplayer and got the trophies, I quit and got the patch again but the trophies didnt unlock from then on.

So basuically delete the gamedata file. You wont be able to play online or even sign in while playing without the patch but you will get the trophies. Hope they fix it soon.

thats interesting, I dont know if im understanding it right but basically, if you want to get trophies, you need to do campaign without the patch or being signed in? if thats so, I do hope they release a fix soon. I cant remember if they have any online trophies... but if there is, fingers crossed it will get sorted...

Looked at one of the ps3 trophy sites alright and didn't notice any trophies for online. Seems very strange if they omitted these seeing as its such an online-oriented game.

Saves folks having to put up with people cheating for trophies/achievements. I think its a great idea. Any time a new map comes out for Halo you get gangs of people messaging you after games for help with Achievements.

i know with world at war, they didnt have online trophies initially but there was an update that came with the second or third map pack which offered extra trophies. Having said that the games are made by different companies, so who knows. will just have to wait and see i suppose!

No trouble here with the trophies .

Put the game in and it was patched straight away and my son has unlocked a few trophies.

Strange... What update do you have? I installed 1.01... Now I started the game again (I didn't delete or uninstal anything) on Veteran difficulty and trophies suddenly appeared in XMB... Very, very strange...

1.01 is the update causing problems... Just start a New Game (SinglePlayer Story)... It helped me... Got my first 2 trophies after training...

I didn't delete anything... Just start a New Game, that's what I did and it worked for me...

i tried this and it isnt awarding trophies for me, my bf's trophies are unlocking and hasnt had any issues related to patch 1.01 and he thinks im goin mad lol. it seems to be different for everyone, which is annoying. not only that but the multi player invite system is flawed, so for me i cant play it in the way i want to for now grrrrr. i really hope they fix it soon, for the most hyped game this year im disappointed that i'm feeling a bit disappointed already. i dont wanna go back to world at war lol

I patched it and got some trophies but they stopped after the cold shoulder trophy

At least i was finally able to do a trophy sync last night. Haven't been able for the last few weeks.

My son finished the game (4 hours 32 minutes on easy) and the trophies stopped unlocking at Desperate times.

I myself after prying the game from him :rolleyes: encountered the trophy bug when I started playing on a different PS3 , just started a new game and they started to unlock.

I cracked this open for the first time at about 1am. Updated to v 1.01 straight away, and played about 90 mins of Hardened single player. Trophies so far have been unlocking with no problem as I have 5-6 of them.

New update (patch) 1.02 is out. Downloading it now...

Although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has only been available for one day, Infinity Ward has already released an update for the Playstation 3 version. As stated earlier, the 1.02 patch fixes the trophy bug from the game. You will be prompted to download the update once you boot up the game with your Playstation 3 connected to the Playstation Network.
Another update, which will fix the party invite system, is expected to come out by Friday.

this overrated linear turd of a game man i gotta restart the campaign to get my damn trophies?!

- hey the Threesome trophy.. picture depicts a man and two women -- now obviously the only thing falling short of it being for bedding two women at once is what you actually have to do to get it. on the other hand, depicting a trophy where you'd blow up 1 man and 2 women w/ a grenade launcher as a US Ranger or UK RAF reeks of bad taste in my book.

I installed the latest patch (1.02) this was released to fix the issue with trophys. Now i cant access the online server to play multiplayer. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix for it?

Started my game on hardened before the patch, was getting trophies. Patch came out and i soon stopped getting trophies. Now i have to start from the beginning. I want's me hardened gold Might play it on veteran actually now that i think about it.. Hard wasn't overly.. hard? :P

everytime i start the game the patch is installed but have had no probs with trophies, anyone else seeing this reload of patch???

No such luck .

My son finished the game and it now says 100% for the campaign mode but about half the trophies did not unlock.
