    So as the topic says, need to get a laptop within the next day or two for the ol lad, does anyone know fo any deals going of anywere before I go hunting around, need to be a decent spec I suppose, 4 gig of ram, maybe a t4000 processor, harddrive abuot 200-250

    Yea that would seem grand for him I recen, a about 100 more than he expected to pay for its a decent spec alright
    gonna go pop go pc world after work to see whats on up there
    I was looking at this one http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ASUS_K50IN_SX025C_Laptop_K50IN-SX025C/version.asp?switchc=e
    it seems to be the same spec in the argos one but different model, and when ya factor in the delivery its the same as the argos one, can't find much on google in the argos laptop

    laptopsdirect.ie have a good range of cheap laptops, but if you google them on boards, they also have a bad reputation for delivery times and after sales support.

    Why not find something on dell? You'll get more for your money than PC world anyway

    yea I know I'll get a better value for money from dell alright... thing is its needed for tomorrow so timewise dell can't get it here, yea think ill be giving laptops direct a miss
    that argos one doesn't seem to bad though, only thing it I can't negeoate or haggle with them on a price though..
    I'm gonna go up to pc world to check, although i'll prob walk out luaghing at there prices, i hate them and have always advised people to steer clear of them!

    Bought this thanks. pc world and that were closed and kinda glad I avoided them,
    just have it set up now an its quite reasonable.. had a look in the argos book and couldn't find the laptop for sale in it,
    just took it out of there, no hdmi is the only downer..
    but on the plus side thecpu is actualy A t6600 as the website says its on t6500 so .1ghz better! :)
