How was your COD: MW2 buying experience

Well how'd everyone get on last night? Any good storys re the rush? I was at xtravision in shankill and they seemed pretty organised.

Some guy turned up and changed into full BDU gear with an airsoft mask and all it was gas. Xtravision staff passed out sweets along the queue. I was in and out by 12:15 am and back playing SP shortly afterwards. So all in all fairly pleasant despite the rain.

pre ordered from Game and it arrived monday morning, so pretty good, i guess:D

Got it in Tesco Clearwater last night with about 300 other people. Was typical Irish thing really, 3 people manning one till. So pissed off because my Eircom connection has been crappy the last few weeks and it was playing up again last night with the connection dropping every two minutes.

Just got my copy in Tesco in Navan no problem walking in and picking up a copy and they have plenty of them.

I got mine in Harvey Normans in carrickmines. They'd no idea about the pre order they took from me over the phone on sunday and had no copies left :mad: They offered me the hardened edition for €50 which i took in the end.

There was NOBODY else there though. Which was a little strange.

same here, didnt buy into all the hype, walked into Tesco in Newbridge at about 11.40 picked up a copy, talked to a few people I knew while waiting for the clock to strike 12...big old crowd there too - for tesco like, but not as much as was in xtravision obviously, was home by 12.20

Gamestop on henry street. Was sh!t€ nothing interesting on queued for 40 mins to get my pre-booked copy. It was ridiculous as people who Pre-Booked had to as long as people who hadn't. If your paying 160 you think they'd have at least a separate que so you dont have to wait with the plebs who didnt!

Sounds like snobby elitism...well it is!

Walked into game at lunch swinging my D*** not a bother on me. Picked it up for nothing when I traded in Borderlands and Uncharted 2 even got me a snazzy new throat headset too!

I have never pre ordered and have never missed a first day launch of a game I wanted.

Picked mine up in Xtravision - Carpenterstown at midnight for 54.99 with a free DVD. Chose Menace II Society. Seemed kinda appropriate with the media noise that's being made about the game.

Didn't hear much about those headsets beforehand, they had them at half-price in Xtravision. What's the deal with the throat thing?

we were in smyths around the corner. hardly any queue had the game and back home by 1230.

Picked up mine from Gamestop this morning.

In and out ten minutes, but jesus there was some dodgy characters there, some guy in full american ACU with a German Smock, just weird tbh, and this coming from an airsofter.

And the amount of middle aged men with their mothers....

However was epic impressed getting it for €25 with cod4 trade in
