Is it just me or is MW2 just alot of hype? I mean MW1 was ok but nothing special. Pretty generic shooter you run and you gun and online was just ridiculous. You could be shooting at one guy for an age and hed pick you off with one shot.

Not much to the game but everyone seems to be going mad over it. Personally I think hype has made MW2 into an even bigger game that it actually is. Im not even sure if ill bother to get it.

Am I the only one? Probably.Ah well.

I'm with ya, not pushed on the online side of things at all. Just give me the 6hr campaign. The hype for this is way over the top alright.

Its like Gears of War, Halo and now the CoD games, all people want is the online aspect, what ever happened to the quality single player experience.

I'll pick this up during the week, play though it over the weekend and trade it for Assassins Creed 2.

Well single player only lasts for 6 hours, and online will last you about 100 hours. So that's where all the bang for buck is.

To be honest I wouldn't care much if they got rid of single player completely.

So far from what ive played of the SP, i actually think its just completely over the top and preferred MW1 SP. Its just feels like a bad Michael Bay movie so far. And it palys 100% like MW1, thetre is literally no difference in gameplay. And so far ive yet to come across anything as good as the prologue mission in MW1 or all ghillied up. And as for the MP, can you say 'run n gun?'. Its a joke, Harriers auto-killing you if you poke your nose out the door, wheres the skill in that?

I like the online and single story mode equally. I'd be very upset if they got rid of the one player mode.

Have to agree with this. The single player game in MW1 was good but nothing special. I was actually very disappointed with the online play after hearing so much hype, actually prefer playing Unreal in multiplayer mode but maybe I am just showing my age

This is why I mute online.

I was really looking forward to MW2, had it pre-ordered and had considered going to a midnight launch. However, since picking up Dragon Age last week all other games have gone out the window and MW2 will have to wait until I'm done with Dragon Age, which given it's quality, may be some time.

Personally, I much preferred the WWII ones.
I'll still buy it but I'm not going to cream my trousers in anticipation of being one of the first to buy it.

Its a great game online (Havent played single player yet) Give it a chance, its much better if you play with people you know, private matches etc..
