Difference between AIB deposit accounts?

    With AIB does anyone know what the difference between an 'Access Deposit 30 account' and a 'Notice Deposit 30 account' is. The both seem to be the same except the Access deposit acc has much better interest?

    Notice Deposit 30 accounts can no longer be opened by customers.
    So it must be a product they are getting rid off so they make the interest so crappy that no one wants to be in one anymore.

    also the Access one has a limit of 2 mil whereas the other one has no limit.

    I have a notice deposit already but due to the poor interest rate I'm thinking about switching over to the access deposit instead. I wonder is there any catch with the access account?
