I only saw this for the first time last night and I have to say I loved it. It really touched something inside of me, which is what film making is all about. Too many times Ive sat watching souless, empty pieces of crap. But this was such a genuine movie, it was 2.5 hrs long and I didnt want it to end. The photograhy was beautiful aswell.

But the point of my post is to ask: What happened to Benjamin at the end?

I know he regressed to infancy but then what? It was kind of vague at that point. And also at the end Daisy's doughter says that she wouldve liked to have known Benjamin and Daisy's response was : You already do. What did she mean by that?

Anyway, great film and beautifully made.

Well she started taking care of him when he became an kid. Her daughter had already met him when he was a teenager, and probably other times too.

As for what happened, he became an infant but developed all of the problems of old age. He appeared young, but was really an old old man. Senile, frail, and died of old age. A few people have commented that they were disappointed that he didn't revert to fetus.

I'm just disappointed that they showed him growing smaller again. In a normal life, though you may shrink due to old age, you don't become the size of a baby. Considering he was born the normal size of a baby, but aging backwards, I would have thought he'd have died a very large baby.

It was an OK, but much like Forrest Gump. Too many wonderful coincidences, and it tugged a bit too much at the old heart strings. I did like it, but I didn't think it was a fantastic film.
