Lads, doing a bit of traveling this weekend so gonna be spending some time sitting in airports and the like. I've decided to ease the monotony with either Mario and Luigi 3 or Chrono Trigger.

Shamefully I've never played Chrono Trigger even though it has been on my list for years. Having said that Mario Looks like tonnes of fun and has gotten great reviews and looks lots of fun although I only got 1/2 way through the last one and never got to come back to it.

    Any thoughts?

For **** sake. You can't call yourself a gamer without having played Chrono Trigger. Sort yourself out young man!

I'd say Chronotrigger, as nice as the Mario and Luigi games are Chronotrigger is genius and beautiful and clever and lots of other nice things.
Hmm, and probably cheaper to buy than the new Mario Luigi game, plus you'll have it a lot longer.
I would hazard a guess to say, like Super Metroid, Chronotrigger is a game that is bought, by fans, on every piece of hardware that has ever hosted it...

Just to represent the other side of the coin - I played about 12 hours of Chronotrigger and got bored. Must try and get back to it.

*Still* playing M&L3 - I'm about 18 hours in now, on the home stretch. Absolutely adore this game.

Lets not just confine this to the DS...*Any RPG* or Chrono Trigger and Chrono Trigger will come out on top for me. It's just that good.

Mr E - You're obviously just not paying attention to the game.. ;)

Before anyone else gives out to me, I *will* go back to it, I promise!

Also this isn't a slight on Mario nd Luigi. I haven't played it but if it's as good as the last few games in the series it will be brilliant. I just can't see it being chrono trigger brilliant.

I got to a part that needed the sound to be turned on in order to listen to a sequence of beeps and repeat it. Couldn't be arsed plugging some headphones in at the time, so left it for that evening... 2 months later and I still haven't bothered to pick it up again...:o
I wasn't enjoying it massively, its definitely not the 10/10 game that some foaming fanbois make it out to be anyway

Think M and L would definitely be better for a bit of waiting around in airports etc. Chrono is more of your undivided attention type.

In the end financial difficulties meant that I got neither, now Spirit Tracks isn't to far away I might just wait for that.
