I bought and have lived in my own house since 2004 (the house is solely in my own name).I got married in 2008 and my spouse moved into the house afterwards. My wife was claiming rent allowance in her rented apartment pre-marriage. Can my wife now claim rent allowance while living in the house?

so let me get this straight, you want to charge your wife, who lives with you rent?

and have her claim rent allowance.

I think you should know the answer is no.
