How do i solve this differentiation

    Look i am looking for a website or someone out there in the net show me how you solve the following questions

    Sin(x) Cos(y) + xy^2=0

    x+xlogy =6y^2

    any help or tips would be brill

    What do you want to do exactly? No one here is allowed just give you the answer to this question (see charter) but we'll help you understand it and give you pointers on how to solve it yourself :)

    My guess is that you're trying to find dy/dx in each case.

    This is an example of "implicit differentiation". if you're a leaving cert student, there'll be a section on it in your book. Scan through the chapter on differentiation in the book, looking for a subsection called "Implicit Differentiation" or "Differentiating functions defined implicitly" or some such.
