Has anyone got any first hand experience of Mavic Ksyrium SL Wheel v Dura Ace 7850cl. I am really stuck between the two. Cant figure out which would be the better buy. I must say i am prone to my Mavics, but the Dura Ace look good and get good reviews

    anyone ??

Its a toss up. I have had 3 sets of the mavics and cannot fault them compared to other wheels. I don't have the Dura Ace wheels, but am sorely tempted to pick up a set.

I would forget which was better in this case and go with whichever I think looked better on my bike.

I've the ksyrium SLs and can't fault them but during the year did come across a lad running the Dura Aces.

He said similar things I'd say about the Mavic wheels about the Shimanos: lightweight, tough as hell etc etc but did say that they do need minding due to the bearings. They're not sealed bearings and so he would strip, clean and regrease them fairly frequently to keep them sweet.
