Over stepping the mark?

Ok now im not the jealous GF at all, never had time to waste on it, me and my bf have friends we would hang out with both male and female, and were quite secure enough to know nothing would be going on,
Im not jealous of the situation im just wondering if said lady is over stepping the mark,
As I said we have various friends and hang out, alone and in groups, but this one chick lets call her Anne, seems a strange ol creature, she invited my BF to a grad ball recently and said that her other mate would be there (he has no idea who her mate is) now he wouldn’t hang out with this girl ever, they might bump into each other around and say hello, and he also asked if he could bring me and it be like a double date, but she said she hasn’t enough tickets, she is ALWAYS ringing him with her problems, which can sometimes appear out of desperation, one scenario, she had a date he cancelled and she asked my BF if he would go with her as her date to save face, he declined, Now I wouldn’t mind in the slightest but on FB I got this 'not for me comment' and it said, 'yeah she just wont know I have only invited him', Now weather it was intended for me or not, WTF???? And it happens to be on a weekend we have booked, she also offerd to pay our cancellation fees, I have had a rough ol time late and this was his way of giving me something too look forward to, It drives me mad as I get on with ALLL his mates and it’s a great little thing we have going,
I don’t even know why im posting, but would I be mad for maybe been a little peed at this?

Um... your bf is going on a date with another girl. Yes, you should be mad. That's not on. She's after him, quite obviously. Steer well clear of her.

Has he actually accepted the grad invite? In any case, I'm not sure I'd be too concerned. Anne sounds a bit odd alright, but she obviously has a big-time crush on your boyfriend. It sounds to me like he's just trying to be nice though. I assume you've told him that you're not happy about him going?

No he isnt going with her, she asked her told her unless I was allowed attend as his date he wasn’t been the 3rd wheel, and I hadnt even got a chance to say anything about how I felt, he just wasn’t comfortable with her approach to it,
I just cant stand when girls act like that, is there anyway to handle it, or do we just leave it be? Im no good at confrontation when I don’t know the person the last thing I want is to cause a big argument id just like to politely tell her to back off!

Tell your BF to have a chat with her. She's his friend after all. He needs to manage her a little better - i.e. keep her at more distance

    I wouldn't stress too much.
yes, she's overstepping the mark, but at least your BF knows what's going on and isn't encouraging these little invites.

Rise above it, she's a desperate loser!

I would face & gently tell that in future to stop ringing your BF for 'dates'. Explain it that it makes you & he uncomfortable.
If she is a reasonable person she will back off.

I don't think thats a good idea. For one thing i doubt she's a reasonable person. For another it acknowledges her as a threat - if anything i think this would encourage her. The boyfriend should be the one to do it and he should just say - look i have a girlfriend, its not appropriate for you to invite me to X
