It's a motion comic, they use existing art and dialogue to create a video.

Seems a cheap cash-in of existing content, plus another dumbing-down of modern storytelling.

Why read when you can watch?!

I am watching the Spider Woman motion comic and so far rather pleased with it - was like an audio accompaniment to a comic book. Still prefer reading the comics but it was a nice alternative.
