Hi, just wondering if anybody knows wether electromagnet force can be controlled with varied charge input from 12volt source.

    Cheers,

What do you mean by charge input? You can control it by changing the current. a simple way to do this is to have the magnet in parallel with a variable resistor.

In series with the electromagnet would be better.
Example, a 12 ohm resistor would limit the current to less than 1 amp.
It would also get hot, 12 volts x 1 amps = 12 watts, use a 25 watt rated resistor.
If you had a variable power supply you could turn the 'force' up and down
    with the voltage control.
