Specs are very impressive with respect to a handheld device ... but that's a subjective thing. Your mileage may vary.

Applications are great, imo ... but they are only good if they serve a purpose for you. Range, choice and prices vary ... as does quality.

What are your requirements ? What do you want / expect the device to do for you ?

If you are looking for the best device in terms of music and video look at the sony x-series.. The playback quality on apple products is average at best, especially if you plan on using those rubbish earphones you get as standard. That said they are useful for apps and web browsing. For music get sony.. For apps get apple

The reason I want it is that appears to have all the features of a mini computer.Good applications, ability to access the internet on my wireless network @ home or in hotspots,e mail, download music etc..32GB memory is impressive.Obviously the touchscreen is an advantage. How much do they cost up north?Where does one buy them???

one of the best things i have purchased in past year, great to have
when travelling on bus/train/plane etc, can watch videos, music on it to keep me entertained, when im out about i can use the wifi on it to check mail etc
rather then have to worry about my laptop,

great apps, games, etc, definetly value for money, personal handheld pc as such.

google maps was especially handy on it when i was out and about on holidays,

you can also get an app for it, that will allow you to use it as a remote for your itunes if you have a mac, pretty useful.
