    Just realised a vehicle a friend bought has this. It's '04 and it's likely there hasn't been an update since meaning CRAP coverage.

    Any idea where updates can be got, or is it a dealer only jobbie? cost?

    Not sure, but it's subscriber based as far as I know. It's built into mine, but expired.

    Yop, drove to Waterford with it yesterday, but it's poorly mapped, so I'm assuming out of date by about 6 years.

    It's quite good...it can navigate to public buildings by phone number!

    Traffic master is not the same as navigation though. It's basically a live updated system to avoid traffic jams.

    Toyota regularly release new maps.

    Whether they're any different to the old ones is another matter.
