Do you think threads are closed for stupid reasons?

    Sometimes I wonder if all the moderators on this site are actually just my mom. Seriously, I am at a loss as to why some threads are closed on this site. It seems like the moderators just close threads because they don't like them, regardless of how interesting they may be for other people. I realise that some hilarious moderator will now close this thread with some remarkably witty remark, but I just felt the need to say this because I am easily bothered by this kind of stupidity and have nothing to do.

    Yep, like take the Nigeria thread for example, why would that be closed? So we don't piss off some Nigerians? Who cares.

    Yes on some forums in particular the mods are very hasty with their closing of threads. By the way don't be disappointed if this thread is closed because it's criticising moderation in AH. At the very least it should be moved to Helpdesk or Feedback.
