    Hi!
Will be filling out the CAO soon and just wondering which teacher training college (primary) you would reccommend: mary i, pats or marino? :)

I went to Pat's and wouldn't recommend it. Over full, bad facilities, unhelpful admin staff and sending out unqualified people to judge students performances on teaching practice is down right ridiculous.

Mary I is an Honour's degree i.e. more Ching Ching when qualified.

When qualified your degree is from UL.

Elarka, some primary colleges are under threat by Mc Carthy, Marino being one afaik. I trained in Mary I so am biased...

I went to marino. I loved it because you get to go to trinity every monday for lectures and get to know people from CICE and Froebel as well. After three years when you get a pass degree you have to option to go on for a 4th year to do your honours.

Now, I know that sounds like a nightmare, but honestly its not..4 days a week you have 2 hours lectures after school. You get to pick your subjects and they are all relevant to teaching and really interesting. You also get the added bonus of seeing your college mates every evening so you feel really supported in your first year out.

Putting Marino as my 1st choice was the best thing I ever did. I loved every second of it, as did everyone else I went to college with.

In fairness, unless you went to each college you can hardly compare them.
