the models those list are all american models so i would be very wary of touching one.

I installed one of these in my avensis few weeks ago

    www.connects2.com

i went for the aux input one which takes a line input as the one that connects to the connector on the bottom of the ipod only allows you to play playlists, not select albums as you like. you just hook from the headphone output into the connects2 box and you're sorted

But, I also got a brodit car mount and a car charger that has a line output on the charger bit. that means i have one cable running to the ipod to charge and get audio, and the connects2 box is connected to the bit of the charger that plugs in the power socket on the dash, so all nice and tidy without lots of wires running everywhere

It sounds like the Connect2 kit will do the job too, but for what it's worth there is no issue with ordering Dension kits from the US in my experience, I've installed a fair few US sourced Dension kits at this stage, never had an issue, they are in my experience the best brand of kit available at the moment. JDM sell them too, but they are considerably cheaper buying them on-line and fitting them yourself if you can.

The Dension kit allows you to select album/playlist/artist either thru the head unit or the iPod/iPhone itself.

ah it's grand then, but you'd want other information than the model list on the ebay page to make sure that model worked with your car. i wouldn't base my decision on that list i guess is what i was getting at
