had a look through the sticky there and can't seem to get a clear idea of where the best places to pick up a set of alloys with tyres included(or package deal) would be in ireland.

saw a few on ebay, and locally there are a few websites there too.

any of ye guys know any local garages in galway or west of ireland or alternatively, websites in ireland or england that would be trustworthy and wouldn't be too taxing on the postage and packaging side?

    any advice would be welcome.

i saw a set with tyres for bout 300e on adverts but most of them are 17 inchs, should i be looking to pay 700e or so for 4 descentish wheels and good tyres too?

www.wheels.ie is one I used recently to buy a spare alloy.

Do you specifically want aftermarket ones, or would toyota alloys be an option?

Second hand alloys go very cheap, try a few of the modified car websites.

    aftermarket as in secondhand ya?

i would be more than willing to go second hand but not sure what to look for if there was something wrong with them, hear ya have to gwet them checked out professionally, if thats the case i would be better off jus buying a new set ya?

i am new to the whole car scene and alloys side of things too as you can see :)

would ya have tyhe names of the best modifiedcar websites to check out please?

The Corolla G6R has 195/50/15 wheels, so 195/40/16 will be smaller in radius by 5mm.

195/45/16 (which is a cheaper tyre) will be 5mm bigger. I'd go with that.

    Here's a Corolla on 195/50/15 tyres.

you should probably lower it. (the car pictured comes lowered as standard)

try www.camskill.co.uk and get a price on tyres, they have a huge choice.
You can get 4 Toyo Proxes delivered for €204. package tyres tend to be cheap crap.

The eight holes are really two sets of four holes for different PCDs (the pitch circle diameter of the studs) so that they can fit different makes of car.

Make sure you try the wheels on front and back and lock the steering from side to side to see if they rub anywhere.

They're multi fitment wheels, 4*100 is a very common size. If the tyres are the correct size, make sure the offset is right i.e the wheels don't stick out beyond the arches.
I reckon they'll be ok though.

Ask the seller what car it came off.

Traynors are good for original equipent wheels, Most Toyotas that come with 16's as standard have a 5 stud fitment.

That said they may have a complete set of something aftermarket to suit

These should fit a Corolla fine, you'll need spigot rings to suit the Corollas smaller hub centre bore though. these are cheap enough.

if not its no bother at all

daire: sent fp performance an email there and looking forward to hopefully sorting soemthing with them

hmm, fk performance only sent me out a tree of brochures with no specific info at all on their second hand range,or on their new range also for what i was asking.

sent emails off to trayners and other companies mentioned on this forum with no results also.

only option for me is to wait for something to come up on adverts or travel to dublin. carlow or donegal.

don't have time for any type of travel unfortunatley so will have to just wait for something to turn up :(

if anybody knows of any set of 15 or 16's that would be suitable for a corolla without altering them at all, i would be interested for sure

    cheers for all the info
