    Hi All,

When I plug my ipod in it doesn't automatically sync with my library, so when I clicked "sync" a warning pops up to say that it will wipe everything on my ipod and replace it with my library. Would this include tunes that were manually put into my ipod from a friend's mac?

The only way to keep the music currently on your iPod and add more music is to click 'manage music and video manually' on the summary screen on iTunes. Connect your iPod and cancel anything it wants to do then check this box. Then you will be able to drag selections of music from your library straight to iPod.

I thought there was a way to update it (without manually dragging and dropping) with everything in your own library, while at the same time keeping any tracks added from other computers.

maybe you could by just syncing particular playlists but its not hard to drag the whole library across... and when you add new tunes to your library and drag your whole library across again it only adds the new tracks
