I have an Infocus proejctor. Its pretty low spec, the resolution is 640x480 but with my old HP Laptop I was able to get it working on 1024x768. Fine for movies but not for windows really. I used an s-video conenction and it worked grand.

Unfortunately I lost that laptop - I got a new one, a Dell D620. It does not have an S-Video port. The projector does not have a VGA connection so I'm kinda screwed. I got a cable that turns VGA into Component - but it did not work.

Am I screwed or is there any way around this to get it working?
    Thanks
