    Hi folks,

So was reversing and unfortunately slightly broke one of my back lights.
Does anybody know how much this would cost to repair?
How long would it take to fix?

    Thanks in advance!

Is it a fiesta or a rolls royce phantom?

Anyway, look up micksgarage.ie and if its a common car, they will have a price for your tail light. Fitting would only be a few Euro for most cars

If it's only the lens it wont cost too much.Even if the unit is broken you could pick one up in a breakers yard for approx 1/3 of the price of a new one.Not too hard to change, probably be able to do it yourself

    Nobody fixes taillights.

    Just replace it.

Price depends of course. Breakers yard is cheapest and then head to a Motor Factors for a spurious taillight if the breakers does not work out.

    Thanks folks.
Its an '02 Opel Corsa. I wouldn't even attempt to try and fix it myself!

You can get 'Lens tape' in most motor factors, (Pack with Red, Amber and Clear for ~€7.50) and you can do a neat (NCT Passing) repair.

Or get the light from a scrapyard, expect to pay €50 - €100 for it, and anyone who can use a philips screwdriver can swap it for you. No garage should bill you more than €30 for the labour.

    You'd buy a new unit for €100.

The whole light unit will have to be replaced more than likely - I dont think Opel sell the actual lense separate to the rest.

I would'nt expect to pay more than €30-€40 euro for a secondhand light.Any handyman could change it, probably 3 screws and pull out wire plug and replace light,he'd be well paid at a tenner if you dont fancy doin it yourself.

Went into garage to price and they said that to fit it would be 30 euro and i had to supply it.

Why pay 30e when it's been described as easy enough to do?
