    On TG4 in 50 minutes.

Haven't seen Clon play in a while, best of luck to them.

Clon look out of their depth at the moment and hard to see them coming back in the 2nd half. The ref doing ok but i thought the yellow cards for the Clon boys were harsh enough and number 6 for Kerins O'Rahillys should have been yellow carded,he had 1 or 2 high tackles and is doing a lot of mouthing to the ref. Hopefully Clon will raise their game in the 2nd half and put it up to O'Rahillys.

5 minutes gone in 2nd half and number 6 for O'Rahillys Brian Moran has got a yellow card! As i posted earlier he was very lucky in the 1st half to escape 1.

    AIB Munster club SFC quarter-finals
    Kilmurry-Ibrickane 0-11 Dromcollogher-Broadford 0-5
    Kerins O'Rahillys 1-11 Clonakilty 0-10

massive task for rahillys to go further with the 2 lads missing, but suppose they will have quirke back now to take morans spot. BJ Walsh supposed to have done a power of damage for KOR.

big shock to see drom/broadford beaten.

Very fortunate and I have a sneaking feeling that Killmurray will overturn them in the final tbh.

at this time of the year, football goes out the window and its down to hardmen and having the balls to stand up to the weather.

that will suit the clare side in sunday weeks final, the narries have some tidy footballer like quill and a few more.

saying that though, theres a few big lads in the side too, who wont get pushed about. if they had the 2 lads who are gone to aus, they would be my favourites for the all ireland.

impossible to call the munster final, thats for sure.

Kilmurray were fortunate enough themselves against Stradbally looking at the highlights on TG4. Stradbally put a penalty wide which would have made a big difference close to half time. Also correctly had a goal ruled out for fisting the ball in to the net (more a point attempt that dropped short really)

thinking about the strand road team, is there a more experienced team left in the competition?

Barry O Shea (all ireland serior winner).
Morgan O Shea (all ireland serior winner).
Mike Quirke (3 times all ireland serior winner).
Declan Quill (all ireland serior winner).
BJ Walsh (all ireland serior winner).

not forgetting the 2 lads in Australia and with rumours growing that Moran is not going to make it (prob true) and Tommy Walsh maybe given time to come home to play in this game, thats 2 more lads who have All Ireland Senior Medals.

Then add in the following -
D Hennessy (kerry and waterford united LOI keeper)
BJ Keane - Kerry Minor Wing Forward, has at least one Munster medal, if im not mixing him up with somebody else.
John O Connor - 2 Year Kerry Minor and U-21 also.
    Gavin Duffy - Kerry Minor?
    Brian Moran - Kerry Minor?

    thats a pretty impressive team.

St. Kilda will never let Tommy home for it , will they ?

    Brian Moran - Kerry Minor?

    Just FYI on these three:

Barry John was corner forward for the Kerry minors mostly although he's better as a wing forward imo. He has a Munster medal with the Kerry minors along with a colleges munster medal with the Green.

Duffy played wing back for the Kerry minors the year they lost in the semi-final to Mayo having never gotten going - could easily have gone on to win it that year if they had played to their potential. He's also won an All Ireland U-21 with Kerry unless I'm very much mistaken.

Brian played midfield for the Kerry Minors for two years and has National League appearances for the Kerry Senior team to his name - an extremely accomplished footballer. He was always actually far superior to David growing up but he has been always plagued by serious injuries and, more recently, illness.

When Tommy left he was expecting to be allowed home to play in the AI final if we get there but didn't mention anything about coming home for the Munster.

Tbh I'd imagine it's very early days for him to be asking to be left home to play football games - I'd say he'll probably just want to get his head down and work away at his new job and I wouldn't really blame him...

    Here's hoping I'm wrong though!

They'd be some addition alright if both back , though the article in todays Irish Times would suggest that Moran is now impressing them at St.Kildas , - very much at odds with recent remarks from yer man Nixon .

I don't think it's ever wise to listen too closely to Nixon - he has more agendas than anyone could guess at...
