Jazz it aint......It's not too bad, I've heard worse. Not thrashy enough though and a it too clean.

Alternative Rock I would say, although even that description is becoming a bit vague these days..

Id say altenative rock too. It sorta fits right into alt- rock unless you want to breaking it up into ridiculos sub genres
