I am just after having a bizarre conversation with a Meteor Broadband to go representative as best as I understood it, if one purchases a 30 day pass and uses up the 7.5 Gigabytes before the pass, time expires, one is prohibited from purchasing another thirty day pay as you go pass until the previous 30 day pass times expires, even if one has used up the gigabyte allowance.

    Im highly sceptical about this.
    im 90% sure its incorrect.
If i were you i would call up 1905 and ask the guys there to verify.

the representative might have been getting mixed up with bill pay, but the 7.5GB is for prepaid.

If it's the case, you could always just get a second modem. They're only €30 refurbished on meteor.ie at the minute.

This is the case. On any one account, you can only buy 1 pass every 30 days. To get a 2nd pass, you'd need a 2nd account (modem).

I had this exact thing happen to me last month when the cap was only 5gb.

I got a message whenever I tried to connect my broswer saying I needed up top up as I had used my alloted bandwith.

So topped up the sim online, went to buy a 30 day pass and got the following error-

Your 30 day access is still active. You can purchase another 30 days access on DD.MM.YY

Really really stupid. Your 30 day pass should expire the moment the cap runs out. As a result I was left without the internet for a couple of days. :(

Once it worked though I got a nice suprise - the cap had been upped to 7.5gb. Seems a bit more reasonable.
