Any recommndations for an iphone 3GS docking station? Only need charging and synching features. Also one that would allow the iphone to be docked with the incipio feather case still on the phone.

    thx

does anyone no of a docking station for the iphone as the majority of them dont support the iphone and you must first put it into flight mode which is a pain as u cannot recieve calls or texts wile doing so.

Accessories that aren't official iPhone accessories will produce that annoying pop up suggesting that to avoid interference you can switch the phone to airplane mode, it does not automatically put the phone in airplane mode, the message defaults to regular phone mode and disappears itself after a few seconds, it's a bit annoying but it does not put the phone in airplane mode unless you choose to do so by pressing yes when the pop up appears.

    Hi

I bought one of these "AGENT 18 IPHONE 3G/3G S BLACK HARD SHIELD ECO CASE (http://cgi.ebay.ie/AGENT-18-IPHONE-3G-3G-S-BLACK-HARD-SHIELD-ECO-CASE-NIB_W0QQitemZ370317541923QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item5638a54223 )on Ebay and it came with a specialised dock insert that allowed me to dock the phone with the case still on.

I just top out the old dock insert and put it in and works fine.

I will try my incipio Feather when I get home and post again, but I think it will work as the Agent 18 has both a front and back case and it docks fine.

I bought one of these and it does the job just fine. I can't use the speaker for playing songs (the station seems to assume that there's a line-out always connected), but for charging and sync it works just fine (on my 3GS). $5 delivered? Can't go wrong!

As for a case .. there's definitely a bit of scope to the left and right of the station. With my Invisible Shield there's still at least 1mm space at the back, maybe 2-3mm at a push. The charging/sync works even with the phone a few mm (~5mm) of the station, so that gives you a bit of scope.
