Is there a lack of convincing charachters in WWE?

    What does everyone else think, particulary heels in WWE?

    It was good even a few years ago on RAW, when you had Kurt Angle(such a good heel) Edge(such a good heel) HHH(great heel) and maby a few others.

    But no look at the raw roster for example.

    HHH-boring face
    Ted Dibiase-heel
    SOS- heel-might have potential
    big show-heel, bores me
    carlito-has dissapeared, dont know if he's heel or face atm, but back in 06 he was a good heel
    evan bourne-Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    Jamie Noble-dont know, should be a heel in some faction
    MVP-FACE
    MARK HENRY-FACE
    CENA-face
    santino-heel i presume? he's pretty good
    RKO-heel, great
    kingston-face

    cant be bothered naming more but this shows just how bland wwe is now.

    where are the charachters like stone cold and the rock? why the hell is christian on what is basically a glorified heat(ecw)

    tna has a far more interesting roster than wwecw/smackdown or raw

    imo its like

    Yeah WWE are mainly cookie cutter types from the same mould, Particularly their FCW trainees

    WWE have more great heels at the moment than in quite some time.

    Edge, Orton, Jericho and lately CM Punk are all amazing amazing heels in their own rights

    What ever happened to people having a gimmick? Everyone just seems so much alike each other nowadays. Even the Undetaker one of the best gimmicks of all time dosent even relate much to his deadman persona anymore.

    I dont know very recently I been seeing traces of individuality in a lot of wrestlers.
    One thing though-I could never say Edge is a great heel.He never convinced me.

    His promos, his wrestling, what was it about him that didn't convince you?

    Ok.For me it is for the following reasons Edge didnt convince me as a heel:

    1.His promos-Always thought that they were somehow lacking depth and instensity.To me he always came across as someone playacting like a heel instead of actually 'being' one.
    2.His face.Im not joking.He looks like a nerdlinger.When he is portraying an emotion he gives the impression of being all forehead and teeth.
    3.Physique-something about a top heel with skinny legs always annoyed me.
    4.His wrestling,but I think thats subjective because I always preferred a technical wrestling match.
    5.The whole Rated R thing.He may be called Edge but he sure as ale doesnt come across as Edgy.

    These are my personal opinions.Obviously he is a popular wrestler but for me I switch off,figuratively,when hes on screen.
