i can however get on msn live messenger and torrents and such still work. i rolled back the ethernet driver, no difference, updated it and it worked for a minute but then back to same old same old.. tried wireless and no help either i reset the router and all that jazz got no idea what is wrong., any help would be appreciated

Sounds like a problem I once had. Could still use mIRC, but webpages wouldn't show. Found the way to fix it was to go into command prompt as an administrator, and run netsh winsock reset catalog and then reboot when it tells you to. Fixed the problem for me a few times.

    keep the ideas coming.

try adding ip address into browser 216.239.59.99

    or ping from command prompt

seems like dns issue if you can access Internet through other apps except browser

try this cant hurt the pc or break anything, start / run / cmd

once in the command window type: ipconfig /flushdns

    And hit enter.

about what i installed recentlyt. nothing as far as i can remember.
and as to flushing the dns i tried that id didnt fix it on its own anyway. that mightave worked with the flood ip setting maybe? i dunno.
im online again anyway and things seem to be loading fine(ish). but still think
its not perfect or anything its probably only a matter of time before it happens again
