Invest in US Funds from Ireland

    Hi Out There,

Can anyone tell me how one might invest in two particular US Mutual Funds Fairholme(FAIRX) and Dodge & Cox International(DODFX) from Ireland without having to pay exchange rate commissions and cash transfer costs? These seem to be particularly stable funds that would be worth investing in if it can be done directly. I know it can be done by opening a US brokerage account but money needs to be sent across and converted into dollars before investing in a fund, which can loss a lot over time.
