Iphone interest, but clueless

    Hi guys,

    I am thinking of getting an Iphone from Vod/O2. I am utterly clueless as to how the apps and internet functions work however. I need something really interactive as will be looking to to use it for business as well as the usual. I've looked around the board but have only seen threads on unlocking etc but if beginners stuff has been answered before I'd appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Anyway few questions as follows:
    • Does internet/email show up as on desktops or is it the usual ****ty mobile versions?
    • Three sites I will be using alot are the guardian, betfair and IG Index (for share trading). Will I see these as I do on my laptop? Do I get apps for these?
    • Whats all this apps stuff about and how does it work?
    • Do o2/vod charge extra for net access?
    • Whats all this wi-fi stuff about - does this mean I can connect for free if wi-fi network found?
    • Why would I need 32 gigs over 16 - can't imagine what all the space is for!
    Sorry, I really am clueless on all this.

    There are apps for all kinds of purposes ... some are free, some are modestly priced. Have a read of this

    Depends on the contract / price plan ... I think there is a daily charge, which gives you a certain amount of data (50 Mb I think) ... any additional data may be subject to a charge. You'd need to check the contract / price plans for a better answer.

    Yes - if you have the necessary credentials to access the router.

    Music & movies can take up a lot of space ... 32 Gb is pretty big though.
