i just found this website http://www.uggsbootsireland.com/ and have put an order in but i now think that these are fake. What to do!! I've purchased through paypal so i should have some comeback. They haven't arrived yet but can i cancel this order through paypal before i've received these?

Has anyone had a similar experience with this website? I presumed this was an Irish reseller...

Guess you didn't read the site fully. Look at the "News" page

Guess not!!... "This store is for demo purpose only. No order will be proceed".

So if i do not receive anything then i presume i can make a claim through Paypal for a refund. I presume paypal will have some robust checks in place to ensure that sellers are legitimate.

The website says you won't, start a claim ASAP.

I've just raised a claim wit Paypal but they closed it automatically stating they do not investigate issues relating to fraudulent goods and only investigate claims for goods not being received. So i've escalated this to their customer services dept via email.

Silly question maybe but has your Paypal account actually been charged for this purchase?

Just a quick update on this one. the boots arrived after all and are perfect!! Although they are most likely a very good fake/replica they are perfect!! I've sat down with a brand new pair of real ones and you can't tell them apart.

I'm not advocating buying fake merchandise and in the end i ended up buying the real ones also as it was a present for my girlfriend (and i wasn't handing her fakes).

I wouldn't risk using that site again as when i pursued paypal on the matter they wanted nothing to do with it and wouldn't investigate as the purchase was from a site other than ebay.
