    Hi all..

Wondering if someone could clear a doubt i have about the BTEA entitlement. Looks like I will be let go next year, and it will be statutory redundancy, the sword is dangling at the moment, just waiting for it to fall.. :( Anyone know how long after receiving statutory redundancy a person needs to wait before they are entitled to the BTEA for 3rd level education?

as far as i know you should get it straight away once you have been awarded statutary redundacy.

That's what I hoped to hear, I really don't like being inactive for too long, thanks a lot for replying.

Yep, once you have that lovely Statutory Redundancy form in your hands you will be instantly eligible for the BTEA without the waiting period, however you do have to be on a Social Welfare payment before you can apply for it.
