    Hi Guys,

This could ave been asked before but could not find it, sorry if it has.

I am looking to put a few films's onto my iphone 3gs. i know that i cant download them from itunes cause of rights or something but is there some website or something or is there software that i can rip a dvd onto my itunes? I understand about dvd shrink and that but would like to be able to do it in one go as easy as it is to put a cd onto itunes.
I dont mind paying for the download of the movie or the software to rip it just as long as it works and is easy.

    Cheers,
    J

You can get a free avi, dvd or utube converter here=www.dvdvideosoft.com

Then just drag and drop the converted file into movies on Itunes and sync the phone.

Where do we get the movies in the first place?

what sites offer movies that we can download and convert if necessary and put on the iphone - there seems to be rights issues for irish customers so what the hell are we supposed to do or where are we supposed to go to access movies?

I use format factory, works perfectly.

    http://www.formatoz.com/

Wondering about frames per second for mobile devices.
Should it be 24fps or 18fps or what?

I know film is 24fps, but does this work best with the iphone?

    Ant help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to download movies or are you trying to Rip DVD or are you trying to convert movies you have to play them on you iPhone?

If you have a movie, be it DVD or avi etc...then Handbrake will convert the movie into an iPhone playable format

You then import the movie into your itunes library and synch you iPhone (make sure you have ticked Synch Movies in itunes)

You should then be able to watch them on your iphone

    Hi folks

On a related note, will there be some text on the screen when you view the movie on the iPhone, using the various software packages referred to earlier? I can't remember the name of the software I use (something AVS I think), but when I view a movie converted using this software, some text appears every now and again on the screen during the movie which is a bit annoying...

    Nope

Handbrake does all the work for you

In relation to text, this normally appears when you are using a free version of the software thus encouraging you to by the full version which will have no text.

Handbrake is the best and free and no text issues
