who goes to hell and whats it supposed to be like there?

    what is the Christian interpretation of hell? fire and brimstone with satan a big red hoofed,tailed and horned evil half human half beast cracking the whip?

    if only the bad people go to hell and satan is king of all bad things, why would satan torture his people? does satan run hell? the people that go to hell would have done satan proud, so does it not indicate that it would be a huge sinful party atmosphere down in hell where you can do whatever you want?

    life and death are part of the same thing. death like life is a major thing, do people think about heaven and hell logically? Its described in the bible but do we ignore those parts and just use the 'its down to our own interpretation' card'?

    The idea of Satan ruling in hell is not in the Bible. It is a product of medieval mythology.

    The Bible says that Satan will be tormented in Hell. Hell, which does not exist yet, will be an unpleasant place for those who choose to share Satan's punishment there.

    Hell is meant to be the anguish and agony of having looked upon and being one with the Christian God and then being cast out from that state of pure grace having been judged unworthy.

    All the rest about fire, brimstone and damnation you can blame pretty much on Dante.
