I'm considering buying a 13" MBP in the next few days for college, but I've heard rumours of a possible hardware upgrade in the pipeline. I was wondering if now would be a good time to buy or would you not expect any updates until the new year?

I'd hate to buy one and a month later a higher spec model for the same money be released :(

Phil Schiller, Apples VP, said "the holiday line up is set". So, we wont see anything until next year.. If you need it then buy it.

Yeah, the Macbook Pro was last updated in June. I'd say February/March for the next update. I'd go for it.

That's what I wanted to hear, as if it was a case of an update in December I'd of held out.

    Thanks for the help guys.

Apple has commented that "the holiday line-up is set" so I doubt we'll see any more updates this side of Christmas - like Sad Professor said, the MBPs will probably be updated early next year, February or March.
