Would it be such a bad thing?

There is an increasing level of sexual tension growing between me and a housemate. We're both single and we do spend alot of time together. The thing is I don't think either of us would be holding back if we were not living in the same house. I know getting involved with a housemate can be an awfully bad idea; plus I don't know if its just because its been a good while since either of us has been with someone why this is happeneing. Should I just ignore whats going on and hope it passes?

My answer would depend on what you two expect. Is it sexual only or are you going for a relationship thing?

Because if it's the first I'd advise to leave it; if it's the second, then my answer would be 'no' to all your questions. Yes it may not be an ideal constellation but I still think you should give it a go and see where it takes you. If things go really really bad after a while you could still move -- a move is a relatively small price to pay compared to a loss of such an opportunity.

Meh, go for it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! If it went wrong, it would be awkward, but you can always move!

Yeah go for it! It's a renter's market so if worst comes to worst it shouldn't be at all hard to find a new place.
