Has my application gone through or what?!

    Pretty confused here.

    I applied for JSA on the 24th Sept, and then for Supplemantary about 3-4 weeks later.

    I then rang up the Supplementary people and the lady said my application had gone through and I should go into the Post Office the following Monday, and then every Thursday after that. I assumed I would be picking my Supplementary up on the Mon and then getting regular JSA every Thursday after that.

    Turns out that Monday was a bank holiday... in the mean time I got another letter saying my JSA claim had gone through and my first payment would be in my post office on "27th Oct and every Tuesday after", so I went in on the 27th and was given around 600 euro, the receipt said Supp Welfare Allowance and the 'next signing day' part was blank.

    I went in last Tuesday as instructed and the Post Office woman said there was nothing there for me.

    What the hell is going on? Am I meant to get paid on Tuesdays? Thursdays? Mondays?

    The 600 euro you got paid was Supplementary Welfare Allowance.
    From the letter your JSA has been awarded and will be paid on Tuesday.
    But if you didn't collect it this tuesday just gone it will probably have expired so you will need to go to your hatch and tell them. They will let you know for definite what day it will be there from now on.

    I went there on Tuesday, she swiped my card and said there was nothing there for me ??
