mass pdf searching

    Is there any way to get spotlight to show up results of words from pdfs?

    Like I have a lot of dictionaries in ''word'' (odt etc) and pdf format and i would like to be able to use spotlight to search from spotlight to see if the word is contained in them and then jump to that pdf or doc etc.


    can spotlight do this or any other app that does this - for once payed options are open to me as I will gladly pay for something this useful and good (like i did for my mac:D)

    It should be built in you have to have the disk indexed first, forgotten how to do this but check the help menu

    Then you can check for words/phrases in pdfs

    Do this a lot for medical research papers stored as pdfs

    Is there any way to advance spotlight? any apps or tweaks to make it better of showing its results to be more suited for looking in pdfs and docs?
