Asics 2140

Hi guys, my 2130s are starting to fall apart so thought I'd rotate in a new pair of 2140s to prolong them. For those that have them, is the 2140 any different? I've just looked on the net here and they seem fairly similar. Will order online, unless has anyone dropped into Elverys/Champion/Lifestyle recently and knows the price off hand? Think the new 2150s are just out now so would be hoping to pick them up cheap!

Elverys in Fonthill had the 2140 for €84.50 the week before last. Sale signs are still up this week.

I've been wearing the 2130 over a number of pairs for the last few years. I recently had to get the 2140, they feel much the same, but I'm getting some hip pain. May not be the shoes?

I love the 2140s, I just keep buying them over and over again. Will be devastated if they ever discontinue the line.

I had a blue pair of 2130s. I tried the 2140s in the store and they just didn't feel right to me at all compared to the 2130s.

I've had 2110,2120,2130 & 2140 and to be honest I haven't noticed any difference apart from different colour schemes and numbers,

The Asics 2140 have been replaced by the 2150, so there might be good discounts on any 2140's in shops. The 2150 look very similar to the 2140

Thanks for all the replies there guys. By chance I was up in Stillorgan/Carrickmines yesterday eve, so had a quick look.

Was in Heatons Sportsworld for the first time, can't say I liked it at all at all. I think I was expecting something special, but it felt Toy'R'us, with some sportsgear.

Arnotts had the 2140s for €110! Which was nuts.

Cheapest I found them was €80 flat in the old lifestyle in Stillorgan, don't know what it's called now.

What else, saw Nimbus 11 priced €88 to €125 depending on where you go.

I must ring Champion though - as we said with the 2150 coming out, I thought the prices would be lower. Usually I pick up my shoes for half-price come sale time, so maybe I'll wait.

Didn't like the 2140's at all, tried them back in april, found them really hard around the heel area and blistered very badly with them on my first short run. Thankfully shop took them back and put me onto Brooks adrenaline which have served me well .... I think ......
