Hiya dont know were to start but I applied for BTEA back in early August I've been told I've been accept since the end of September but still nothing this is in the Clondalkin social welfare office, is anyone having the same problems with them or am I the only one., Plus I've also applied for a Maintance grant through County Dublin VEC I havent even received a letter to say they have received my application even though I sent it by registered post.

Is there anyone who has been paid yet by both clondalkin welfare office for BTEA or county Dublin VEC?

there's a huge backlog with the VEC grants, but i didnt know people still had no contact at all. i suggest you ring the vec office, tell them your situation, and ask for some sort of confirmation.

as for the BTEA, there's no reason this hasn't been paid yet. ring the social welfare office, tell them your waiting on your payment, and the grant wont be in for a good few weeks more. tell them your out of money, and its going to cause you to have to leave college.

a good kick in the arse might sort it all out.

just a quick note, did you apply for rent allowance too?

since your entitled to the BTEA, your also entitled to apply for rent allowance, if your rent is below the maximum level limit for your locality.
