Premier League: Chelsea v Man U

    Chelsea (evens) draw (11/5) Man U (3/1)

Man U team news: Ferdinand ruled out (again) Vidic fit.

United ain't won in their last 7 Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge.

    09/10 Season:

    Key stats:

Chelsea at home have won 5 from 5 scoring 15 and conceding a mere 1.

Man U have played 5 away winning 3 (v Stoke, Spurs & Wigan) and losing 2 (v Burnley and more recently Liverpool). They have conceded 4 away from home and scored 10 in the process, 5 of those against Wigan.

Chelsea have a total goals for tally of 28 (home & away) only 8 of those goals were scored in the 1st half, the remaining 20 in the second (obviously). None of their goals has come from a free-kick and 9 of them have come from a cross. They have conceded a total of 8, almost half of them were conceded from a corner. Cue another Darren Fletcher headed goal :)

United have scored a total of 23, 6 in the 1st half, 17 in the 2nd.

Giving the stats here are some interesting bets:

Chelsea to keep a clean sheet (6/4)

    Fletcher to score 1st (25/1)

    Draw/Chelsea (4/1)

    Draw/Draw (4/1)

    1st-half total goals - no goals (7/4)

    Honest opinions?

Chelsea to win and Drogba to score is the smart money really I think.

My money's n the Chav's in this one, they're midfield is far better than manure's at the minute. Liverpool's midfield over ran man utd's few weeks ago, that was without Stevie Gerrard!

Chelsea will have to be pretty poor not to win this.

Chelsea -1 is 11/4 with PP. I think Chelsea will win this and may win it well, this might be worth sticking in a small accumulator.

Can we stop with this ****e please? I don't mean to backseat mod here and I apologise if thats the way it comes across, but this wouldn't be tolerated on the soccer forum and I don't see why it should be here.

I think this will be a draw.. I'm bassing this on United's second half display against CSKA they'll be on a high coming back from two goals down and drawing 3-3 and nearly winning it. Fergie will pack the midfield with Anderson Fletcher and Carrick. Fletcher will be a big boost to a really weak United midfield..

    I'm a Chelsea fan. Banned for a week:D

As for the match, reckon we'll win comfortably, -1 looks good. Also I'd look up the odds on Joe Cole as man of the match. We have been on fire since he's been back

Heart says thumping 0-3 victory with an O'Shea header, Rooney pile driver from 25 yards and Nani to show he is not a (very) poor man's Ronaldo with a stunning free kick. Head says Chelsea by a couple though. As a Man United fan think a draw would be great result here but 6/4 the home win looks good.

agree, would take a draw but sadly i only see a chelsea win. If i wasnt a Utd fan i'd lump on 6/4.

    Hope im wrong!!!

That looks a decent bet. PP go evens for the 2nd half to have more goals than the 1st.

drog n rooney to score 8/1

Fletcher first goalscorer is buying money, I'll have that :pac:

Chelsea -1 seems a smart bet

Fletcher to score Anytime 9/1 Paddy Power.

Alternatively, Scholes to score Anytime 8/1 PP and Lads.

Scholes is fine goal scoring form and Fletcher has a brilliant record against the Big'uns.

Bets depend on the team sheet obviously

    Drogba to score 2 or more is 11's, that's a good'un

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 386 ✭✭davylee

    goo op post in tuition.
the one that sticks out to me is 7/4 on no 1st half goal
both clubs score the vast majority of their goals in the 2nd half so that might be the way to go

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,978 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

seen drogs to score 1st and chelsea to win 3-1 on PP. 50/1 sounds good to me?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 470 ✭✭PIMPHO

Drogba to need the physio 2 or more than times during the match 11/4 with PP is the best bet! :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,438 ✭✭✭✭Collie D

Rooney first goal and United to win 2-1 at sixty to one. Not out of any great belief. Just a regular bet I do

Bet 365 have the first goal to be scored after 27 mins at evens looks good no ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,351 ✭✭✭magherakid

No Dimitar Berbatov and no Nemanja Vidic for Manchester United today

Have a nice wee punt on chelsea 11/10

Also done drogba any time 6/4

I've just had two small 1st goalscorer bets here at big odds for a bit of crack.

    Ballack 27/1 €3
    Carrick 38/1 €3

Didn't have a bet myself but hope I put someone in the right direction.

United did not deserve to lose.

Well, a win for the Chelski so.

Ivanovic was pretty good in the last few mins I saw.

And Obertan will be a very very good player in time.

Any bid money wins on this game lads? :)
