    Hi guys,

Is anyone involved in procuring logo'd sportswear (tops, shirts etc) from clothing companies?

Any recommendations? I know Fashionflo is the one we have to use for leisurewear but have been informed that for sportswear we can find whoever is suitable.

    Regards

I used logo2go last year. Found them to be quite expensive. 25e per hoodie.

You should endeavour to buy sportswear from whichever sports supplier optimises clothes for your sport. What sport is this for?

Also, it can sometimes be cheaper not to get the stuff logo'd, but to get the logos stuck on seperately, investigate it.

Don't worry about sticking to FashionFlo for hoodies or whatever, first of all they're kinda crap quality and second no one really cares. Just take a look around campus and see how much the hoodies vary, I think most aren't FashionFlo!

We got hoodies from O'Malley Sports last year, really nice colours and good quality, a bit on the expensive side but we did get a free dry-core tshirt thing, good deal!

Any Qs give me a shout.

well, seeing as he said "sportswear", the sponsorship doesn't apply. That said, I'm fairly certain none of the clubs have broken that rule? (and the quality rox, better than some other ones I own)

Thanks for the advice guys - I'm not looking for hoodies as of now, just sportswear (actual shirts, shorts etc).

I have found some micro-fibre polyester shirts and shorts for 15e each (before any potential discounts for bulk). But I haven't really found any company that can make stick on logos/will attach logos or emblems to clothing - though isn't there that shop in St. Stephen's Green "the t shirt shop" or something like that?

This is kinda what I was looking for (though this particular shop may be quite expensive - I've sent enquiries):

OP, I was looking into doing something similar except it would be a hoody for people doing my postgrad. Does anyone know of anyone who would cater for such an order?

I thought that all clubs must use FashionFlo for leisurewear (hoodies)? It was in DUCAC's policy statement (or do you mean for a private group?)

    he means a private group

Ah ok, yeah if its for sportswear then it doesn't matter - but as I said the rule about leisurewear is never enforced anyway.

Maybe get in touch with the fencing club as they bought tracksuits and got them printed, really good job too they look great. It would have to be good quality I guess, if its going to be for tshirts/shorts that you're going to wear while training/competing. Oh yeah athletics club did the same too so I'd say if you email either of them they could help!

I think I'll go with the buy the professional equipment and get it printed elsewhere (I've sourced the uniforms for 25 euro before potential discounts - seems like a good enough price to me).

Does anyone know if we're allowed to get sponsorship and names printed on the clothes (AIB, BOI, those kinds of companies) - or does DUCAC not care?

I know the top foil fencer - I'll drop him a message ;) - I'll contact the athletics club too. Thanks!

    Hmmm,

I'm not sure, haven't really heard of clubs doing it. I do know American Football are having Subway on their tops though, after they did the all-you-can-eat sub night (but maybe this doesn't count as they're not a DUCAC club so DUCAC can't really stop them). I guess just ask DUCAC and they'll let you know.

Just to let people know - DUCAC do not care about companies printing their names on the kit as long as they are reputable companies (I'm guessing Landmines Inc might not be acceptable).

I had a small order of hoodies to do last month. Found KC Sportswear the cheapest by far. They're the company that the SU use. Hoodies from €15 embroidered with personal choice of colour. :)

They have an ad in the SU Diary
