Having a look at my friends laptop, its got a corrupt hive file. I can't copy from the repair folder, in the recovery console because its an oem copy of windows on it. Doesn't have the CD that came with it either. Any suggestions?

Nevermind, was able to copy system folder from system restore in recovery
