They do say they expect him back in the new year, which is the good thing. I don't think he was ever going to be taking part in the AIs, but there were some serious concerns as to what exactly was wrong with him. Assuming they're telling the truth then its good enough news.

I agree. He was never part of the AIs. He will be back in new yeay (hopefully).

Unfortunate, and a big loss - however this is a massive chance for Healy. It's ideal to get new blood in key positions 2 years out from the RWC

I dont consider this a good thing. Healy is very young to be expected to play every international as first choice, he need not be overused as it could cause problems for him down the line.

I don't think three (probably two as I'm sure Kidney will want to start someone else against Fiji) matches will harm Healy in the long run. In fact I think it's exactly what he needs.
If Horan was going to be out until the end of the season it might be a lot to ask of Healy to play the full 6N as well, but I don't think the AIs are going to over exert him tbh.

I agree with that - it'll be good for young Healy. Invaluable experience, and I think he's ready. Just hope he doesn't get injured though...

Whilst I wish im a full recovery after seeing Kidney's 31 man squad I am kind of glad hes injured as I reckon Horan would of started ahead of Healy if Kidney's selection policy is anything to go by. EOS II

If it really is becoming a problem then its not like Court couldn't start a game. It wouldn't kill the team or anything.

Does anyone else find this very concerning?

leaving the pitch with dizzy spells, "routine" medicals, shady around the details of injury / illness, shady on recovery time, just saying "next year"... hope the guy is ok, but the whole circumstances around this withdrawel concern me somewhat.

Good chance for Healy. I thought he should have been first choice No. 1 regardless, it's a shame he didn't get the jersey on merrit, or at least not officially, but a good AI's and I think he'll be first choice come the six nations. He just needs to watch his discipline.

I wish him well and hopefully a speedy return to rugby.

    two issues.
Firstly, speedy recovery to Horan, and hopefully they have it diagnosed.

Secondly. Props need to be brought on gradually IMO, not launched against the Boks with no serious replacement on the bench

Seeing as he is a superior scrummager to Horan I reckon he will be fine.

First of all, best wishes & speedy recovery to MH Ireland Prop.

Secondly, its none of our business as to the details of his injury/ailment etc.

Thirdly, the age of his replacement is irrelevant, the maturity and experience is.

Finally, I have complete faith in the judgment of those closest to events... ie those that know exactly what is happening.

    Go Green.
