I'm looking at a car for sale at a Dealer on carzone. I entered the reg on mywheels and according to this, its tax expired in Jan 2009.

What would you conclude from this information, other than the car has been on this Dealer's lot all year? Are things that bad? It's a nice car.

Would you consider this a negative straight away, ahead of actually going and checking the car out?

I have a list of standard questions for the Dealer of course, but I wouldn't volunteer the fact that I have this informaton, just to see what he says about the recent history of the car ....

I'd appreciate any feedback from hardened car buyers!

I got a car that had tax expired in March 09, No problems in my view, if everything else checks out...
