Thinking of skiing not through a package but booking it all separately. Can't handle another ski rep shouting at me on a bus at 7am.. Any suggestions?

Dont forget that doing it independently has gotten even more expensive if you are carrying skis or snowboards- Ryanair have jacked up their sports equipment charge from €30 to €40. That means it will cost €80 return to transport your own gear.
Suddenly package holidays are seeming like the way to go for me....

I was on a "do it yourself" to Andorra a few yrs ago - flew to Ryanairs version of Barcelona, rented cars at the airport ... we had an apartment rented, ski gear/pass etc. Andorra is also relatively cheap so worked out as a cheap week in skiing terms....
