What cost of change you would think is reasonable to move from a 04 Mondeo 1.8 LX hatch with 45k miles to a 07 S-Max 1.8 TDCI?

Would prefer a Zetec or Titanium spec but best price quoted is over €18k plus the Mondeo which seems a lot to move into a 3 year old motor :(

Buyer is v happy with prospect of S-Max and not really hot on any other cars

Nothing wrong with an S-Max except.........the price. It's overpriced, or was, in 07.

We were looking at new cars in 07, and originally aimed for an S-Max, but got a new Galaxy for the same money, so maybe if you cast your net a bit wider you'd get a Galaxy for similar cost-to-change now, too. More useful, imho.

18k does sound like a lot, though.

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

As a 07 S-max Titanium owner I would be hoping for a least €20k for my bus if I go to trade next year considering what I paid when new. There is a fair difference in spec between the LX and Titanium models.
    Here’s hoping
