That's weird - Had a missed call from an 'invalid' number

Just had a missed call there, from an 051 number (I'm staying in Waterford for the week, but live the other side of the country)

So the number was 051 and 5digits after that. Tried to ring back but keep getting 'Invalid number' (with the invalid number tone) and Google is not returning any results for the number. Weird.... Is this a job for the Ghost Busters, or is it just a case of a botched up exchange?

If it's important they will ring back.

It can't be important tbh, not from that area code. I thought it might have been the hotel but they have a totally different number, only other people that could want me down here are the Gardai - but again their number is totally different

Which leads us to the next question.

Why would Waterfords Gardai want you?

The real question is "Why wouldn't they want me?" - I'm amazing :pac:

I've gotten calls that are invalid to ring from a landline but I can call back from my mobile. Weird format numbers too.. figured it was a scam and left it!

For an even more balanced reply: PICS OR GTFO

Could it be a call from beyond the grave? Or the future? Or the past? That's what it usually is for me anyway.

Dell Computers call-centre in India also call back from an 051 number.

Well seeing as 051 numbers are now all 6 digits I'd guess it's most likely the past.

OP stick an 8 or 3 between the 051 and the first x and see what happens.
